Thomas Silkjaer, the head of analytics and compliance at the XRP Ledger Foundation (XRPLF), recently shared on Twitter that XRPL has achieved a noteworthy milestone. The number of activated accounts on the XRP Ledger has reached five million. Silkjaer conducted an analysis of the XRPL statistics and confirmed the attainment of this milestone.
Ran some fresh stats on the XRPL, as we have crossed the 5M account mark.
Only 4.7M exists at this moment, but as the stats were made a few days ago, 5.002.458 had been active over time.— Thomas Silkjær (@Silkjaer) May 26, 2023
Recent XRPL analytics reveals interesting figures
According to Thomas Silkjaer, as per the statistics logged a few days ago, there were 5,002,458 active accounts on the XRP Ledger, while the total number of accounts currently stands at 4,706,050.
These figures are tracked by XRP Ledger Services. The combined XRP holdings across all accounts amount to approximately 57.7 billion XRP. It is worth noting that only 1,035 accounts have a balance of zero XRP. Silkjaer clarifies that although the ledger reports 4.7 million accounts, the actual number of activated accounts on the XRP Ledger is five million.
The XRP Ledger has achieved another notable milestone by closing 80 million ledgers over a span of more than 10 years. Presently, the ledger count stands at 80,037,448.

This accomplishment has generated a sense of optimism within the XRP ecosystem. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has made a confident prediction regarding the resolution of the ongoing lawsuit, stating that it could be concluded in “weeks” rather than “months.”
